Matthews Lake is located in Washburn County. It is a 267 acre lake with a maximum depth of 26 feet. There is a public boat landing. Largemouth Bass & Panfish are abundant. Approximately 110 feet of sandy shoreline. Lake Home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sleeps 8 to 10 on 3 levels. Internet service is set up. There is central air for those hot, humid nights. Matthews Lake is located in a quiet area about 1/2 way between Danbury and Hayward. Knotty pine ceilings and walls throughout. Main floor layout includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen/living area, Foosball table, flat screen TV, and wood burning fireplace. Finished walk-out basement with lots of light and windows - layout includes bedroom, an additional queen-sized bed, futon, laundry room, bathroom, and an Olympic quality ping pong table. There is a great fire pit and volleyball court outside. There is a no-wake rule before 10 am and after 5 pm, which means it's pretty quiet on the lake during those times. Also near by are restaurants, taverns, golf courses, casinos , etc. The property is approximately 2.5 hours from Minneapolis, 3.5 hours from Rochester, 4 hours from Madison and Green Bay, 5 hours from Milwaukee and 6 hours from Chicago. Welcome to our family cabin and hideaway. Like us, we hope as you drive down our ¼ mile semi private road winding through oak, birch, and pine trees; they will make you feel like you’re “at the lake at last” and you can feel yourself making memories that will last a life time. If you are looking for a secluded vacation or have a young active family this is the place for you (we are closer to the second one). At night its not uncommon to see only a few lights from across the lake. The cabin is one level with a kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms, and a full bath with tub. The chef-friendly kitchen opens to the dining area (with large table for 10+) and spacious, comfortable living space with vaulted tongue and grove ceilings, as well as AC and in-floor heat. There is also a 4-season sun room which can double as a bed room, and perhaps best of all is a elevated patio and fire pit overlooking the lake and giving views of spectacular sun rises. The kitchen is fully furnished and is part of a large open area that includes the dining and living areas. The oven and stove are gas, and there is of course a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and coffee maker. We also have a gas flat top grill. Included is a detached bunkhouse with two rooms (sleeping 8), 3/4 bathroom, heat, and AC, to accommodate larger family's. The Bunkhouse works great for your peace and quiet at night and for letting all your little ones sleep in in the morning. Chicog Lake is a quiet 150 acer lake offering large and small mouth bass, northern Pike, crappie, and pan fish all without leaving the dock. Three kayaks, a paddle boat, a paddle board, a canoe, and swim raft, are provided for fishing or exploring, and swimming. The lake also has a public boat access for use. Sunfish can be caught with just about anything from the dock - a great way to introduce kids to fishing! The lake also offers outstanding swimming; the slope on both the beach and out into the water is gradual with no drop off until about 30ft out. This makes it great for kids, water games, and lounging around on a hot summer day. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the bench at the end of the 50' long dock. You're sure to see deer, turkeys, eagles, loons, kingfishers, whippoorwills, woodpeckers, and many more. View amazing fall colors and excellent winter recreation in the area. Enjoy an extensive ATV/snowmobile trail system. ice fishing and cross-country skiing. There are miles of ATV and Snowmobiling trails surrounding our lake. We are only 2 miles from Black Bear Golf course, a 18 hole, par 72, public course. There are many other golf courses within easy driving distance. You may also enjoy hiking or canoeing/tubing on 2 nearby rivers (Totagatic and Namekagon - the latter being an excellent trout river). Day trips to Minong(10 min), Hayward(25min), Spooner, Duluth, and the Apostle Islands are common diversions. This makes restaurants, ice-cream shop, and well-stocked convenience stores close by. Walk out the front door and connect to cross country skiing, ATV trails, snowmobile trails, or if lake fun is more your style; you can kayak, canoe, fish, paddle board, ice fish, or relax in chairs by the lake. You will have easy access using a key code into our newly built cabin and sauna! Everything is clean and brand-new. The kitchen has a large full-sized fridge, gas stove, and dishwasher. It’s also fully stocked with plates, pans, utensils and more. The master bedroom and queen bed room both have a closet and the sunroom also has a queen size pull out couch for a third bedroom. Canoeing, kayaking, inner tubing and swimming are favorite pastimes on the river. Fishing is excellent on Lower Mckenzie Lake and surrounding lakes in winter and summer. We are on a sandy beach, excellent swimming, with a private dock for your boat. The dock and swimming area separated by over 100 ft of shoreline. The public boat landing is only a 1/4 mile from our home by water and only 2 miles by land. If you want to bring your own boat / pontoon we have a 60 ft dock with plenty of room to keep your boat at our cabin. There are several boat rentals nearby where you can rent pontoons, fishing boats, kayaks, and canoes. Informations on this is in the amenities section on this website. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of Washburn County Forest with 100's of miles of trails for hiking, cycling, snowmobiling and for ATV's. You can leave your cars/trucks at our cabin and access the trails directly from our land. Snowmobiling and X-country skiing are also are legally accessible from our land. There are many bars and restaurants along the trails. Maps for the ATV trails and snowmobiling are at the cabin. We are at the border of Washburn and Burnett counties. Maps and other local attractions are available at the county websites to help you plan for your trip. We've had exceptional reviews since we started renting in June of 2016. Our 2017 through 2020 seasons have been exceptional. We already have reservations for this winter and next summer. We had several repeat customers this year so demand is very strong. The fishing is excellent right from our shoreline, but you can get out on the lake on and explore other fishing hot spots on our lake. Ice fishing is also very popular, and guests love the easy access to the lake directly from our property. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing on most days. Nights are cool and quiet. The air is fresh and clean, and there is the sound of Loons and other wild life during evening and early morning hours. Our property is completely private. There are no cabins visible on either side of us, and there is never any automobile traffic for miles around us because we are on a dead end road. Very safe for families with young children. Welcome to our four bedroom home on Lake Nancy in Minong, Wisconsin. Lake Nancy is a gorgeous 772 acre lake well known for its clean, clear water and great fishing. The home is elevated about 25' above a fantastic 100' sand beach. Our 400 foot private wooded drive winds through oak, birch, and pine trees and ends just a short distance from the back door of our 2,250 square foot 4 season 'home away from home'. The lake offers outstanding swimming! The slope on both the beach and out into the water is VERY gradual with no drop off. This makes it great for kids, water games, and lounging around on a hot summer day. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the bench at the end of the 60' long dock. We also have an 18' Bayliner 180 open bow boat with a 90HP outboard motor available for rent (boat is extra and not included in weekly rental). This boat is great for water skiing and tubing, and is parked on its lift next to the dock, so all you have to do is lower it into the water, start it up, and take off! The beach has a fire pit, which is great for brats, smore's, staring into after dark... whatever you like. The night sky is so dark you can see the Milky Way - it's a good thing we put in motion sensing lights to help you find your way back inside! Lake Nancy is a clean, clear lake offering large mouth bass, walleye, northern, muskie, crappie and pan fish. Two kayaks and a rowboat are provided for fishing or exploring, and the lake has a public ramp for launching your trailered boat. 100' SW of the end of the dock is a crappie hot-spot - be sure to check it out. Blue gills can be caught with just about anything from the dock - a great way to introduce kids to fishing! The layout of the home is that it is built into the side of the hill, so you walk in from the driveway on the upper level. The home has 4 bedrooms with one queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, and one twin bed. There is also one double sized futon, and two cots. (Both the futon and cots are actually quite comfortable.) On the upper level are the kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms, and a full bath with tub. There is also a 3 season porch, and perhaps best of all is a 40' elevated deck overlooking the lake and giving views of spectacular sun sets. Downstairs is the family room, 2 bedrooms, a 3/4 bath (shower), and the laundry area, which also contains the children's size air hockey/pool table (it flips over) and dart board. The kitchen is fully furnished (we like to cook) and is part of a large open area that includes the dining and living areas. The over and stove are gas, and there is of course a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker. We also have two barbecue grills - one charcoal, and one gas. Like I said, we like to cook! There are ceiling fans which are perfect most of the time for keeping things natural, but cool. We are only 2 miles from Black Bear Golf course, an 18 hole, par 72, public course. There are many other golf courses within easy driving distance. You may also enjoy hiking or canoeing/tubing on 2 nearby rivers (Totagatic and Namekagon - the latter being an excellent trout river). Day trips to Hayward, Spooner, Duluth and the Apostle Islands are common diversions. The birding is outstanding, with loons and bald eagles guaranteed. You're sure to see deer and if you're a birder we have kingfishers, whippoorwills, various warblers, vireos, and flycatchers, pileated and red bellied woodpeckers, and occasionally a scarlet tanager and eastern towhee may be seen. The pier is extended with a bench for easy access to our pontoon boat all ready to cruise, our pier accommodates the fisherman too. Wifi is available but it's slow given our remote location. Cell signals are good and hotspots work best. Bears Lair is a beautiful lake home with 3,000 square feet on the clear and quiet Dunn Lake. Large two story windows provide spectacular views in the open family room, dining room and kitchen. The main floor open concept has an extended dining table and additional seating at the oversized kitchen island. This great room makes for the perfect family gathering spot around the cozy wood burning fireplace. Located off the kitchen is a fabulous screen porch to enjoy the wildlife and surrounding wooded area. A large wrap around deck and picnic table gives the perfect birds-eye view of all the action down on the lake. Also included on the main floor are two bedrooms that sleep six and a full bathroom. The Master loft provides a quiet escape and private bathroom. Also available in the loft is a small office and free wi-fi. The lower level walkout is the perfect place for shooting pool, playing games or enjoying a family movie around the gas fireplace. The lower level bedroom sleeps four and also includes a full bathroom. Laundry facilities are located on this level. Separate from the main Cabin is a western themed bunkhouse located above the garage. This bunkhouse is fully furnished, has air conditioning and sleeps eight. The large flat lot will be heavily used for grilling, yard games or hanging out on the dock and paver-patio. A sandy beach and a shallow entry make the lake perfect for kids to swim while you sit on the patio or lounge in the hammocks while watching all the fun. Dunn Lake is a full recreational lake, used for fishing, water skiing and wake boarding or whatever water activity you enjoy. Cabin rental includes a paddleboat and kayak. Jet Skis and pontoon boats are available for rent nearby. A Public boat launch is located on the lake.

Formerly a resort lodge built in 1958, Walker's Lodge has been updated and remodeled and is the ideal year-round vacation home for families and groups to make memories. And we've recently been the location in the making of a film (but we're not allowed to release details yet)! The air-conditioned lodge sits on 290 acre Nicaboyne Lake, which is a fun, fully recreational lake between 10am-5pm. The area feels more peaceful than some of the other lakes in the area as the east side of the lake is undeveloped. When you look out to the lake from the lodge and beach it somewhat resembles the boundary waters. The lodge is set back from neighboring cabins, which were originally part of the resort, and is nestled in the woods, offering privacy. Its expansive front lawn is perfect for yard games like softball, kickball, tug of war, etc. The yard also has a shuffleboard and a horseshoe pit. Kids love the large play set, too! The great room of the lodge has a lovely stone fireplace, large bar (which was originally the check-in desk), and a piano. The dining room offers seating for 30 and is full of large windows and light. As the resort was a fully functional restaurant at one point, it also has a commercial kitchen perfect for making meals together. Right off of the kitchen is the former lodge owner’s private quarters, which has an additional living room, full bathroom, and two bedrooms. It also has a separate entrance with an amazing screened-in porch, paver patio, Weber grill, and fire pit. Right off of the great room and facing the woods is a second screened-in porch, where many love to read and relax during rain showers. The porch has a daybed with trundle for those who want to sleep closer to nature. Up the stairs from the great room are 5 lake-facing bedrooms, 4 with queen beds and 1 with a full-sized bed. On the other side of the hall, facing the woods are two bunk rooms (full over full bunks - can sleep 4 children each very comfortably - or 2 adults each). Just finished renovations on our Family Cabin. It has an open concept with living room, kitchen and dining facing huge windows over-looking clean Middle McKenzie 550 acre lake. Our cabin has a perfect view of the lake, with gradual elevation to the water. We have a private dock, where the water is very shallow and swimmable. Bring your boat, the public launch is a block away, or rent our pontoon for $100 a day. Middle McKenzie Lake is an amazing fishing lake for muskie, pan fish, large mouth bass, northern, walleye. We also have a paddle boat and two new kayaks for your use. The cabin has two bedrooms, one of the bedrooms has a queen size bed, the other a queen and a double bed. The great room has a queen pull out and a double pull out couch. We do provide linens, beach towels, a full kitchen, hairdryer and more. There is a huge flat screen TV in the living room with Apple TV. Wifi is available. There is also a smaller tv for kid’s movies and gaming if needed. There is a fire pit for you to have campfires and roast marshmallows in the evening (we do have roasting rods for your use) as well as a gas or charcoal weber grill. The deck overlooks the water where you can listen to the loons and watch the eagles soar, or read a book in the hammock. We do offer the option to rent our pontoon which is a 2003 Leisure with 40 hp—pulls the smaller kids on tubes for $500 week which includes one tank of gas. This is the perfect place for relaxing. We are at the end of a road with no neighbors on two sides. If you want to venture out, the town of Spooner is 16 miles away and has a very charming main street with shops including a bakery, antique shops, a train museum, bowling alley. And the Voyagers Village Golf and Country Club is 7 miles away. You could also take a canoe trip down the Namekagon River in Trego (14 miles away). The St. Croix Casino in Hertel is 17 miles away, and the St. Croix Danbury is 22 miles away. We also have recommendations for the best breakfast, pizza, and up north dining in the cabin when you check in—all less than 15 minutes away.

Charming resort cabin with additional bunk house on beautiful Silver Lake! Very clean lake for great swimming, fishing and boating. Nice level lake shore in close proximity to cabin. The cabin is small but accommodating with open great room, one bedroom and 3/4 bath with shower, and beautiful fireplace. Can sleep 3-4 with queen bed in bedroom and full size futon in great room. The bunk house has a 1/2 bath, futon and 2 full sized beds in loft. There is an outside shower on the bunk house for rinsing off sandy feet. There is a convenient public boat launch next to property. Due to high water levels the landing has been under water for the past 2 seasons. The neighboring cabins are in close proximity but each faces a different direction for some privacy. High waters have taken away the sandy shore line. Swimming and fishing off the dock is great! Paddleboat on shore available for your use. Great location between Spooner, Hayward and Minong. Walking distance to Silver Lake Saloon. Also, very close Jack's canoe rental on the Namekogen River. The cabin is a short block off the Wild River Trail, great for ATV and snowmobile riding. The bunkhouse is included in the price but an additional $25 cleaning fee applies. The bunk house is not available November through March. Located On Lincoln Lake, a 100 acre lake, this family owned Log cabin is a great retreat, and is only about 2 hours away from the Twin Cities.The cabin's interior is all knotty pine which offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. There are 2 bedrooms, bath , kitchen, dining and living room on the main level. A loft which overlooks the living room and beautiful views of the lake.The living room also has a cozy gas stove for those chilly nights.The bathroom has been remodeled with a new shower. The walkout basement has a relaxing sitting area to read or watch movies and bunk bed for extra sleeping options. The porch allows for a nice shaded area to get out of the sun or rain and still be out doors. For those who like the sun there is a deck with gorgeous views of the lake.There is a picnic area with charcoal grill and a fire pit for toasting marsh mellows and sitting by the fire(Please do not leave fire unattended).The beach is sandy and shallow, nice for younger children and adults as well.If you like to fish, there are sunfish,crappies,northerns and bass. There is a small row boat available to use at no charge. Must be 21 years old to rent our property.
